2.34 Screen loading not announced by screen readers (M)

2.34.1 WCAG 4.1.3 (AA) - Desktop

On the Patient Settings page, a loading cog appears on screen when saving a change to the patient details. This is not announced by screen readers; users may thing that their action wasn’t recognised by the site.

2.34.2 Recommendation

Use aria-live regions to inform screen reader users that the page is loading.

It could also be helpful to have text with the loading cog which states ‘page is loading’
