2.35 Search function not fully keyboard accessible (M)

2.35.1 WCAG 2.1.1 (A) - Desktop

On the Monitoring page, after typing text into the search field, users can click the search icon to complete the action. However, a mouse is required to navigate to and activate the icon; users would be unable to do this using only the keyboard.

While users can complete the search function by pressing the enter key after inputting the search data, they would expect to do this using the search icon. Not being able to access it with a keyboard could make the process confusing for keyboard users.

2.35.2 Recommendation

Ensure all interactive elements are keyboard accessible. Add <tabindex="0"> to bring custom interactive elements to bring them into the tab order.
